Book Tags – Winter Wonderland

Been watching a lot of vloggers banging on about books. Not quite ready to do my own vlog yet, but fancied having a go at some of the tags they did.

Here’s my Winter Wonderland book tag…

Q1: What book is so happy and sweet that it warms your heart?
A1: . Most of the Stainless Steel Rat books could qualify, but this is possibly my favourite of the bunch, particularly as he’s now bringing his wife and grown-up kids on his adventures.

Q2: What is your favourite book with a white cover?
A2: Not read many with a white cover so will go for . One of the more thrilling, base-under-siege stories from this series with a decently scary hoard of monsters.

Q3: You’re sitting in a nice comfy chair, wearing a onesie, with a lovely warm hot chocolate but what MONSTER read are you reading?
A3: I’d love to rereard the Expanse series by James S. A. Corey. starting with . That’s a monster number of pages right there…and there’s monsters in it too (both the human asshole kind and monstrous: be it death slugs that kill with a touch or protomolecule soldiers that rip you limb from limb).

Q4: It started snowing so you decided to have a snowball fight! What fictional character would you love to have the snowball fight with?
A4: Crake from the Ketty Jay series by Chris Wooding. He really needs to let off some steam.

Q5: Sadly, your fire is beginning to go out. So what book would you tear the last few chapters out to throw into the fire?
A5: . First you’ve got all those appendices that few people actually bother to read, then there’s the whole mucking about retaking the Shire. Ring in Mount Doom = Sauron dead = The End. The quantity of paper there would keep the fire going for a fair while too.

Q6: What book is so close to your heart that you would gift to someone this Christmas who hasn’t read before but wants to get into reading?
A6: by Chris Wooding. Such a fun book with excellent characters, swashbuckling adventures and a distinct Firefly feel. Being a 4 book long series also makes it not too much of a commitment either.

There you have it, my third tag attempt. Hope you liked it. Do please comment below your thoughts. If you want to give this tag a go, I tag YOU!
